This one was trying...
« on: March 15, 2013, 03:52:10 pm »
Not sure what I am going to do with this one.....  Close examination will show some really odd looking cuts, and a couple of places where I cut through.  I found the wood density to differ in some places  and the spiral blade was difficult to maintain, hence the cuts through the pattern.  This was a request - I guess I will let the person see it and decide.  Sigh - Not all days are golden.

Al it does not look all that bad. Spirals have their place.  I tend to use both on some projects.  Perhaps you can
re-cut it and use a flat blade for the rays on the points of the star?

I'm with Marshall, i could not have done that with a spiral, flat blades for me all the way.  But no you did a wonderful job on a difficult pattern.

Seems I keep hearing that from my review committee (wife).   Thanks folks, I will let the recipient decide.
