Ask Steve a question. / cnc

i, I don't post much but I read a lot of the posts. My question is, (and don't get me wrong, I love my scroll saw), I just purchased and x carve cnc for the (shall I say) more boring parts of projects. IE backer boards and some pieces. I love doing the intricate parts on the scroll saw. Is there a way to convert patterns to g code? I am using Fusion 360 and easel software. thanks.   Rick

This is a great pattern but if I might suggest, several smaller "rings" on the second part of the pattern for subsequent smaller racks to use the waste ( although I never have "waste") for additional racks.
 I am not computer savvy enough to make this happen.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Very small issue

I am doing some puzzles, exactly as Steve does down to packing tape both ways. I am using F/D 2/0 reverse blades on my hawk.
The issue is that I am getting small (very) fuzzys on the picture side. up to this point I am using postcards for my pictures and this is just a small annoyance but takes a while to clear up.  Any suggestions?

Hi, it has been a long time since I have posted    but I have misplace a book that I need to buy again. I can't remember which one it is but is a compound with a knight/dragon and an eagle/liberty bell and more
I would love to get these patterns again
if anyone knows the book, please let me know.

Pattern Requests. / Frustration level HIGH

I know I don't post much but I read most of all the forum. I am very frustrated with myself.
I have been looking for a certain pattern for 2 years. I had it at one time.
It was out of one of the Christmas Scrollsaw magazines from, oh I don't know, maybe 10-12 years ago. It could be back as far as 2000.
It was a stylized rocking reindeer, aprox. 12-15 inches long, and about 12" high. all made in pieces and put together with dowels. I tried looking for the past issues of all the scrolling magazines hoping it would be on the cover so I could see if I could order another one
I made quite a few of them many years ago and I have someone that remembered it and wanted me to make them again.
 I bought the ones that Sheila had and made them, but it wasn't the same.
 I realize it is a lot to ask but if someone could remember what issue ( not sure what magazine ), (creative woodworks, Scrollsaw workshop)? I would really be interested in finding a back issue or if it is no longer in print, buy just that pattern.

Thanks for at least letting me rant about losing the pattern.
 I am still looking for my 3d book that has the dragon/soldier compound.
 I must be losing my mind.... oh well..... not much to lose these days

Pattern Requests. / plant stakes request

Hi, I have cut out some of the planter stakes with the animals that steve posted, the clients at our veterinary hospital like them but have requested that I make some with dogs and cats. As I am comuter challenged I am wondering if someone could come up with a couple of patterns that have dogs and cats. I would post pics after cutting and thank you in advance.

I know i don't post much  but I do read most all the posts here
I just got done cutting the little  6" bears with my nephews letters and I was wondering if anybody could do a letter pattern like that with a simple giraffe shape.
 These are going on the kids doors to there new rooms.

A long time back I had a pattern for a " Rocking Reindeer " it came out of one of the magazines. I am wondering if some one still has the pattern. the " Deer " was kind of styalized with flowing antlers. I enjoyed making these and someone asked if I could make some for them. I think I lost the pattern

I have not yet learned how to do patterns, I cut this wolf and took it to work. everybody liked it. was asked if i could cut one like it but with a cat in the same style. I work in a veterinary hospital so dog and cat things are most asked. this particular pattern had ALOT of comments. anyone like to try? I would be most gratefull.
