General Scroll Saw Talk / Flex drum setup

What is the best way to set up one?  Should I get a slow speed bench grinder and buy the attachments to make it a flex drum sander?  I have a sanding mop too that I’d like to add.  Thanks

Is there a better air hose replacement for a delta 40-560?  My original keeps breaking at the attachment point and it's getting too short.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Olsen blades

I mainly use skip reverse Olsen blades.  I need some #1's and #3's but can't find them in skip reverse. I guess they don't make those sizes.  Do you guys have Olsen recommendations for those sizes? I have Flying Dutchman but I don't like them.  I know I know most of you guys love them.  On that note I have dozens and dozens of FD and won't ever use them.

This took a while to complete but I'm pleased with the results.  The family of this boy that died in an auto accident were speechless.  Thanks again to Charlie Dearing for the pattern.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Portrait help

I am cutting my first portrait and it's going pretty well.  I am using 1/8 BB stacked 3 deep on 8 1/2 x 11 boards.  The pattern is 6 3/4 x 8 1/2.  I am 1/2 way through the portrait.

I have a few questions: 

Do I need to cut the boards down to 8x10 for framing?  Or is that even possible?

Do I glue the backer board to the portrait?  I'm using 1/8 BB.

Should I use glass in front?

How do you cut grooves in the frame to accommodate all?

What's the best way to finish the BB and what backer should I use?

I've never done a portrait and want to do a good job.  It's a portrait of an 18 year
old boy that died in a car wreck.  His parents are friends of ours.  Charlie Dearing made the pattern for me.

Recently one of our friends sons trajically passed away in a car accident.  He was 18.  I want to make a portrait of him but don't have a pattern.  Will someone please make a pattern for me?  I would be in debted.  it would mean a lot.
