Title: Steve Compound Question
Post by: James R on July 18, 2010, 06:32:16 pm
Hello Steve,
I was just watch the video of the SAW Expo and you went by a compound of a name that seemed to be reversed on the top.
Could you elaborate on this technique, if you would please.

Thank you,
Jim

How do you make the stencils for the glass etching?

Thanks for the kind words. The stencil method I used is screen printing involving a direct emulsion
exposed with a 5000 watt metal halide light source. The image was prepared in Photoshop using the Adromeda screen plugin

Hi James, I'm not sure I remember which project you are talking about but it sounds like it might have been a compound cut where one name is scrolled in a block then another name is scrolled on the other surface. If you get a chance give me the time stamp in the video and I'll go look. Was it the 2010 SAW expo video or the 2008?
