Thanks everyone. The pattern for the sleds are from Sheila Landry. I found them in an old issue of one of the magazines, but I'm pretty sure she sells them at her web site. The runners I designed with the year. What's nice is when I get customers at local shows that bought one last year and returned for this years sled.

Here's the pattern for the runners. Don't let the pattern limit the design. I did some for my family two years ago and put their name in the runners.

Very nice.  I can see why they sell out.  Bet they sell out again this year.  TFS

Great work, Dan.  I made many of them for craft shows when they were in the magazine.  I like the way you  incorporated the year into the runner--great idea.

I'm thinking of asking $10 each. Last year I did my first show and had 6 of them and sold all for $6 each but no year on them. The next show I only made 8 and sold all of them for $8 each. The third show I had 14 and sold them all for $9 each. My wife said I should charge $12.

Termite,

After the New Year I'll start working on 2012 ornaments. I plan to have these started Jan or Feb and will post the pattern at that time. I want to make some other small changes too.

Hey termite, I used super glue. Put three or four drops on top of each runner and glue in place. I make a little jig out of scraps to make the assembly a little easier. I'll try to remember to post a picture of the jig tomorrow.
