Last Supper Compleated
« on: February 12, 2013, 12:56:37 pm »
As most of you are aware i been working on a 13"x48" project of the last supper on and of for the past month or sohttp://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=12534.0 its a Charlies Dearing Pattern Thanks Charlies if your watching. well i got it finished today i made the frame from 1"x2" oak.i know a lot of you don't use glass but i can see someone poking there fingers in there and breaking a part of it so i decided to use a glass to protect it.the finished size is 16"x51" including the frame.i used black felt between the project and the backer board.theirs 404 inside cuts and it took around 38Hrs to complete.hope you like it.

That turned out beautifully. The sturdy frame and the glass I think are needed, as I believe this is one of those things that will be around for a very long time. Whoever wins this item at your Cancer Society drawing will be one lucky person.

Awesome !!  It turned out great and I think you were wise to use glass to cover it.

that is absolutely fantastic, and I agree with the others it was a wise move to put glass in the frame.

Ruddy magnificent mate that turned out great.

Here's me thinking my wee 27 x 14 inch cutting is going to be a challenge...

Beautiful work Todd!!!

I agree the glass was necessary.  Not only poking/prying fingers, but dusters, rags, or anything else that might be used to try to clean it off occasionally!

Be very proud of that one!
