Is there a Scroll Saw Anonymous?(Not that I want to join)
« on: May 14, 2010, 04:26:52 pm »
My nephew with who I stay wants to send me to Scrol Saw Anonymous. :( I don't want to go I know I'm addicted but know what I don't care. Sure I'm not the only addict who does not want to go to rehab, unless there are scroll saws I can use :D. Don't think I will ever kick the habit of scrolling.

Thats pretty funny. My wife would agree, I'm addicted also. So if you find such a place, let me know, maybe we could go together. Dave 8)

I'm with you David, I'm totally hooked and there is no way that I'm going to rehab even if they drag me there.   :P

I guess I fail to see why you'd ever want to go to SSA anyway!

But if your really interested in kicking the habit here's a self help way of doing so. First you have someone with the only key lock up all your equipment. Then you throw out all your scrolling books. Next you unsubscribe from all the woodworking forums you belong to. And finally you unsubscribe from all the woodworking magazines you get.

After that you take up another hobby like watching TV or watching paint dry.

Paraphrasing a famous movie quote...

"God, I love the smell or SAWDUST in the morning!"

Taking away our 'scrolling' privileges is prohibited by the Constitution!
The law of the Land prohibits "cruel and unusual punishment"!

I never really wanted to grow up....All I wanted was to be able to reach the cookie jar...and play with my DW 788

Lol I don't want to kick the habit. My nephew just threw this comment in and thought I'll post it just to see the reactions I get.
I will not let him read your post chips, he might just look my door whem I am not home and say he lost the key or something.
Keep making sawdust everybody.

;)Thanks Dave I will let you know, but it might be faster if I needed one to just buy one at the local DIY. Seeing the time the post might take. And I don't think I'll survive long without my sawdust. Nice to have fellow addicts who know what you're talking about.

Hallo Dave,
You might have noticed that I was not on the life stream. There's a 6 hour time difference here with you guys that would make it about 4am here, maybe next time I will pluck up the courage to set my alarm and get up to join.
