If you go to Fox Chapel's site and have a look through their book catalog you'll find animated toys and even automata books!

The other day while searching for...I have no idea, I search for all kinds of stuff. Anyways I came across a site that has paper mechanical toys. I though that they could easily be made into wooden toys. The files are free and in PDF as well as .jpg format. Two links are attached first one is to Barnical Press, the site with the PDF and jpg files and the other link is to the parent site with all kinds of links to other sits with drawings for card stock models.

Raymond, thank you for the links, I make animated whirligigs and I can incorporate many of the paper characters into my whirligigs by cutting them out of wood.

I've found half.com a great source for patterns and ideas. There are a lot of old pattern books out there a prices that make them worth gamble to try.
Now that my secret's out, I won't find any great deals anymore!

Ya know, wooden movable toys is just something you do not see anymore. I remember pulling along an inch worm or a dog with long ears, ya know the Bassett hounds?
