Steves Pattern DVD

Does anyone know of the software a person would need to make a disc of their own patterns like the one Steve has made and is selling. I would love to make one of all my patterns to have as an extra back up system.

Hi, Don,
If you just want to save your patterns to disc for a back-up, you don't really
need any special soft-ware.
Just insert a DVD into your DVD Burner on the computer and drag your patterns
into the D: or E: drive (which-ever your removable drive is labeled).
I'm sure you can find short youtube videos of the process.
God Bless! Spirithorse

Hi Don:
Suggestion:
Put them on a memory stick (USB Drive).
This way you can take it with you to show someone if they want to see what you make.
It's a matter of copy and paste onto the stick.
Everyone has a USB something or other at home.
Not everyone has a DVD player.
If it's just for you as a back up then do as Spirithorse suggested
Good luck

Thanks for the replies fellas. I do back up all my patterns on an external hard drive. I just think it would be great to throw in a CD or DVD and be able to search for a certain pattern. I back up my hard drive every other day just to make sure I don't lose anything.

The hard part is not putting the patterns on the DVD / Mem Stick / external HD it is making it searchable.  How many of your patterns are cataloged and in categories?  I run into this all the time with folks wanting to be able to search their pictures, however they have never taken the time to work up a system so that they can find them again.  Same thing goes with the patterns.  Need to sort them,  catalog them, and if need be rename them so that when you do a search you can easily find them.

I also recommenced USB sticks over CD/DVD

CDROM and DVD for the computer are quickly becoming obsolete, just like the floppy did. I just had to but a new laptop and was really surprised at the lack of optical drives in many models. I'm not talking cheap net-books either, this was in the $600 and up better versions. I ended up with a nice Core I5 Lenovo with an HD touchscreen that has a DVD drive, but many didn't have them at all anymore.
