My newbie experience.

Have any of you moved to the next hole for the blade and FORGOTTEN to re-set the TENSION???

Now there is thrill.... specially if it is a tiny cut!

Or how about forgeting to loosen the tension before releasing the blade clamp! Do that all the time!

Oooo, I did that today!  What a thump!  I used to do it a lot more, but the sound it makes is so alarming it is one thing I have gotten a lot better about.

I can say I haven't (yet) forgotten to turn off the saw before starting the process of letting go of the blade.  Not that I have any doubts that I will sometime, lol.

You have heard from the PRO (Sheila), a trainer for WoodCraft (Dan), and several VETERANS....NOW don't you feel better!!!!

We ALL do it sooner or later and not just ONCE!

That is what makes us human and why we have so much fun helping others!

We've been there, done those 'dumb' things and can laugh about the experiences and get on with the fun of scrolling!!!

If you get too 'up tight' it takes all the fun out of the GREAT HOBBY or "ADDICTION" to make it relaxing and enjoyable.

The whole idea is to enjoy what you are doing or it becomes drudgery and then it ain't worth it!!!

Tend to do that quite often I really get stuck into something and want to finish and then oeps no tension.

Let me count the ways....If there is a way to screw it up - I've done it.  It's the fixing it that is sometimes the challenge.

LMAO, well now i feel better. I think Russ said it perfectly. Next time it wont take me so long to figure it out. That was the most comical thing. It took so long to figure out. I was already replacing my saw.

what helps me to is the clamp holder on my Hegner, the direction of the blade is there indicated.
on my Ferm saw it isn't.
I do forget my tention now and then. specialy when a blad is broken.

Yup, I have done it to and pinched my finger good, it does make you tend to look twice next time, I also wanted to blame my saw for everything that went wrong. It's all part of the learning process. Keep cutting and just have fun.

I can relate and as Jimbo said the finer the blade the easier it is to do.  I got some jewelers blades from Mike for cutting stamp puzzles.  They are like a thick hair and really hard to tell if they or upside down.

Nice sign Paul!  Don't know about you but I have bifocals and seeing clearly is sometimes a struggle.

As was mentioned earlier, you don't have to see the teeth, just run your thumb down the teeth and you can feel which way they are running.

I just received some of those 'Puzzle' blades yesterday.
Unwound the wire to put them in the tube, SNEEZED and blades went all over the floor!
Still searching for the 12th one but the rest are in the tube and all facing in the right direction....I think!
Boy are they tiny!!!!
