Glue for acrylic

I want to use acrylic on the back of a train to make a suncatcher.  The wood is red oak.  What is the best glue to use?

Hey Bettyswood, I would use cyanoacrylate glue or CA glue. Also known as super glue. You can get CA glue at hobby and craft stores. It comes in thin, medium and thick consistencies. I would use a medium thickness for what you are doing.

Besides the CA glue, I also like 2 part epoxy.  It seems like it holds anything - porus and non porus material (I don't know if I spelled that right!) Let us know what you decide to try and how it works.

Thanks, Sheila

If you are gluing acrylic or anything you should make sure you rough the surfaces with sand paper
