Jesus Cross
« on: January 16, 2014, 04:37:16 pm »
This is one of my favorite crosses to make. Normally I make them about 3 in tall and hang them from the car or truck rear view mirror. Today I decided to make a bigger one.

Nice job!
I've made several crosses of a similar design. In fact, I made one big enough to be used for a music stand! Admittedly, I didn't use a scroll saw, I used a jig saw for that one. It was a commission from the mother of a local Christian guitarist/singer and his sister.

That is FANTASTIC! I don't type in all caps very often, but honestly your music stand Jesus Cross is super. I will share that on my blog http://troyswoodcreations.blogspot.com and also on my FB page: Troy's Wood Creation. Thanks for showing me your awesome Jesus Cross.

Hey Troy,
Making the cross was the easy part. ;D The hard part was making it all come apart and fold up flat for transportation and making the table of the music stand adjustable.!  :o  I'll see if I can find some pictures of the back side to show you. It took some engineering and planning.  ;)
I built this about five years ago.

Rog,

That would be nice to see. Impressed you engineered it to fold up and all. Looking forward to other views of it.

Troy,
Sorry, I must have erased all the other pictures. I've searched through my computer and camera both and can't find them. As I said, it has been some time ago that I built it. I have over 200 pictures of other projects and probably "cleaned" the albums a few times and some pictures go into file 13 every time.  :(
I may try to get in touch with the lady who commissioned the project and see if her son still has it so I could get new shots of it.
