Thank you. The simplicity of the design just appeals to me.

Anything suitable for people in nursing homes, recovery centers, children's wards? If something would make someone happy, that's better than the fireplace.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Missing owl pattern

If anyone here communicates with Steve on a personal level, please pass on this message. The pattern called "Owl" in the bird section of the catalog is a blank page. I wrote in the Ask Steve a Question topic, but that didn't help. Would like to get that pattern.

Thank you all. Hung it with carpet tape last night, but it fell during the night. But, not broken. Will have to rethink that.

This pattern from Sue Mey's site made me smile, so had to make it. We need more of that!
It's 1/4" oak ply, the owls are walnut, padauk, zebra and acrylic paint in the middle. It is hanging (with help from carpet tape) on the wall where it is easily seen.

Beautiful work. Be careful! Making the big clocks can be habit forming, and you might run out of room or have to move. :D

Keefie, Guess I forgot to say the pattern is from Pedro at finescrollsaw.com. I used maple, padauk, and walnut. Used Deft gloss on the Padauk, semi on the rest. Seemed more oriental to be shiny. May have said all that in the gallery.
And thanks to all for the kind words; it is so good to be back to scrolling. Have to still work hard to get moving well again, but am trying.

Beautiful! Am sure he wouldn't mind if any of you wanted to count the fret holes; I don't want to, and don't. There is always someone who will tell you.

Now, that is scary on Halloween.  :o ;D
Haven't put any pictures in the gallery since spending the summer in a care center. Am on my feet again and will try to catch up with things made just before and lately. Have missed you all.

You might look at the Byrnes 4" saw. Really nice, but not cheap, but very precise.

Not sure you can get them at all anymore. Amazon says "not available", Sears just shows the sanding materials, and the RJR Studio site doesn't respond to buy.
Maybe you can find someone who wants to sell one.

If you can, get one with a table you can tilt for angles. Can do more things.
