Post by: colbra on April 21, 2015, 10:03:28 pm
I shall tell you a little about my self !
I am 68yrs retired married for 45 yrs. live on the East Coast NSW Australia at a place  called Woy Woy for those that do not know this place Google Maps will put you right on the ball !

Now my interests........ Are put  in an order of what I know a bit about!....  Fishing done that all my life / General wood working
50 yrs. / Toy making 20 yrs. / Model building 15 yrs./ Box making 2yrs / Scroll saw /20 years..... now as I was saying I would put them in an order that I know a little about....... Well some tools you have, you use them occasionally and the scroll saw is one of those tools !
There is one other interest that I have just started a journey with and that is relief carving with high speed air engravers not much to say on this simply because I do not know to much about it yet,   so I shall put in the same boat as my scroll sawing I hope to change all this with the help of all you good people.

Sorry Steve no pun intended there
                                                                                      Regards Colbra  :)

Welcome from Don in Canada.  Brooklin Ontario just east of Toronto.

Looked up Woy Woy just to see where it is.  I lived in Spit Junction (Sydney area) when we took our working honeymoon some 47 years ago.  Loved the country as we put lots on miles on our 57 Holden.

Best time of our life as we met so many great people.

This is a great site to learn and get patterns.  If you haven't used it yet I suggest you do some of Steve key chains.  They are addictive and are a great gift.  I have done over 100.  For kids I put on a small ball chain and they put on backpacks.

Welcome again

Don

Always nice to meet new members.  I am Paul from Washington state, USA.  Do you hang out on Australia's Woodwork Forums on the internet.  They have a "Toy Making" section where the artists over there make unbelievable models.  I been watching their fun for a couple years.   Have some wonderful Australian internet friends  from that forum.

Anyway, glad you joined, let the saw dust fly.  We love to see lots of pictures.
