Darn is that how I got so short, here I was blaming the city for building the sidewalks too close to my bu, er uh posterior. You thought I was going to say but didn't you? It only counts if it's spelled with 2 T's LOL

Great story. You and my dad would have gotten along great. He was in the Navy in the latter part of the 50's. Was sworn in on the Terre Haute Police Dept. in 1967. He did the same things, would give people a break if he could. But let me tell ya, being a cop's kid wasn't all fun and games. Getting in fights on the playground at school, because some punk called your dad a pig. The race riots at ISU, and then the high schools, and my dad having a K-9, patrolling the hallways, and everybody knew it was my dad! And when you got caught doing something you weren't suppost to be doing, and having one of your dads friends take you home, getting him out of bed. Man, just take me to jail!!!!!!!!!!! I really miss him. He was a great person.

Sorry for your loss Dave. I lost my Mother when I was 14, Dad lived to nearly 90. She was the stronger influence in all our lives. She was the one to apply to our seats of learning, and though she was only about 5'2" you would have thought she was 6' tall. Very loving, but a strict disciplinarian. We all miss her to this day. I could go on and on but this isn't the place for it. I've already blabbed enough here.
