What can I say...after all I am one of them rare third generation Arizonans. Great grandfather settled here before AZ became a state. He settled in up north. He was kind of a miserly old man. He dropped a penny out on the ranch. Spent a few weeks digging some big old hole trying to find it. Then he felt bad about making such a hole so he diverted the Colorado river trying to fill it up. Well, the rest is just history. But seriously, it takes a special breed to live out here on the desert.
