It's nice to know there are other scrollers close to home :). I am from Spaniard's Bay and I also get my wood at Kent, especially the colored exotic types. I use 1/4 inch birch or oak that I buy locally for my fretwork projects,
( cheaper that Kent). Another site you should look at is scrollsawvillage.com. There is a lot of good things going on there as well.

Hi Rigo, it seems that we all have many things in common. I too work with special needs kids,( special education teacher for 21 years now). They are all special, but working with the austic kids I find to be very rewarding. Don't worry about the language end of it, I bet there is not a person out there that don't double check their spelling and grammer before they post a message, I know I do. And Scroll sawing, like all the rest it is what I look forward to each evening, it find that it is a great way to relax after all day.

My name is Clyde and I am from Spaniard's Bay Newfoundland, Canada, AKA "The Rock":D. I have been receiving Steve's newsletters for some time now and look forward each day to checking E-Mail to see what he has come up with, and to enter the contests. Good stuff Steve, I want to try all the projects you post. I started out about 6 years ago doing intarsia but today I spend most of my time doing fretwork, and a few keychains to boot. Not making any money however,:-[, I usually give the things away. I plan to visit here often.. ;D    Clyde
