Jim
thats it you have traced the bitmap
now if you want to highlight the internal cuts
select the whole object then
go to
object>object to path
object> break apart
now select  one of the internal parts (you may need to click on it 2 or 3 times at first)
then hover over the colour you want on the colour bar along the bottom of the screen
right click and select "set as fill

not sure who makes it I'm up in Whitby at the minute
but I know it is 135gsm and it adheres very well, just make sure the material is smooth and dust free
search e bay for it I think its about £15 for 100 A4 sheets

Karl
well you certainly picked the bones out of that deal
hope the new sure is fine  for you, and as with your other thread, yes any capital out lay is always a bind on finances
but just to make it all feel a little easier for you. If you take your purchase price of 381 bucks and then add about another 50-60 thats about the price we would expect to pay for an old well used type 1 here in the UK
and that is when you can find one
all the best

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Brush change in the DeWalt saw

What DW says is correct and a periodic clean will help the motor last much longer
however you say that your current brushes are about 9/16 long, I have just measured a brand new one and it is only about a 1/32 longer than that so am doubting that what ever problem/ symptoms you have are brush related
