Stag Intarsia
« on: April 05, 2015, 02:26:29 pm »
Hi,
Just finished my latest Intarsia project and quite pleased with how its turned out but always room for improvement  :)
Its a Stag based on Kathy Wise pattern but  made a few changes so it looks more like our own Stags and also added a frame (my first attempt with a router and managed to keep all my fingers lol) it measures 29" x 20" x 1"
I use mainly Oak and Mahogany with Beech for the antlers and the scenery is bits of Teak/Pine and even bamboo plus a piece of real Scot's pine for the tree trunk!
Hope you like it.
Cheers
Brian
ps also attached a picture of my Hare Intarsia

Hey Brian  two very nice pieces.  Like the choice of woods plus very nice job on the frame.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Claymore. Is it OK if I use the rabbit picture as a starting point for a gift for a friend? I do not sell , so no worries on me turning a profit on it amigo , just for fun and laughter.
