Has anyone heard...?
« on: April 22, 2012, 11:01:36 am »
...from Marmoh lately?  I haven't seen any posts recently, and was waiting to hear about the results of a show that she was doing with some others on the site.

Anybody have an update?

Sorry about no update on the show.  Not as good as I would have liked, but did sell some of the stuff and with today's economics I guess you can't ask for much.  Had a blast doing it and learned a lot about scrolling and myself so it was all worth it.  Sorry I haven't posted much lately but have been staying busy with cutting when I can, yard work, critters and women's work.

Gabby hasn't been around as much lately for her to tease, so she's been quieter than usual.  Is that about right Marion?

Actually it's been a me problem.
Don't really know how to explain it, and don't know if anyone really wants to know, but here goes.  I'm really a private person and don't let many people into my life.  When I joined this forum it kind of brought me out of my shell and I enjoyed jumping into the conversations.  Can't say exactly when, but at some point I felt that what I had to say didn't really matter, so I just stepped back and stopped posting.
I read the posts daily and see all of the wonderful things people are doing and still feel apart of the family, but am doing it on the sidelines.  Totally my problem and not caused by anyone here.  Guess I need to pull up my big girl pants and say the heck with it and jump back in.
I have learned so much from everyone here and am thankful for the opportunity to be apart of this forum.        Marion

Ah Marion, I feel like that sometimes. Many days I would just read the comments and enjoy the conversation and bantering that goes on here. Here lately I am making an effort to have a comment when ever I can. I hope you continue to enjoy the site, it is like a family, so do what ever makes you feel good. ;) ;) ;D

I know what you mean, Marion.  I'm on several different forums and I've learned some posts bring a reaction and some don't and that I can't dwell on it too long or I'll get all kinds of distracted. (Where's the smiley that looks like it's gone bonkers?)

No matter what, like everyone else, you're still an important part of the forum and missed when not present.  Don't give up on us, we're still here for you.

sometimes we go through periods that makes us to take a step back.
we love hearing from you, but most important is to be, and stay yourself.

Hi Marion, there IS a difference between dry humour and wet humour. Wet humour is when you wet yourself laughing and dry humor is when you get to the bathroom in time!! LOL. I agree with Gabby and I would add that you are you and you will never be anyone else. We all love you the way you are. If anyone doesn't like it that way, it's their problem and nothing for you to worry about. That's how we deal with it here in Scotland,at least I do. Keep your chin up.
Rob Roy.

Dry humour:
Two balloons are floating across the desert.
One balloon says to the other:
"Look out for the cactussssssssssss!"   ;D :D

wet humour:
When can you dive in a swimming pool and not get your hair wet???
When your bald!  ;D :D

found a dictionary that says:
wet joke ---> is a kind of a joke which never dries up....  LOL
