Not sure, Norm.  I dug out my pattern hoping to see a name I would recognize from where I bought it.  At the top is Heartland Creations and Wild Horses below the picture of the completed project.  Elsewhere on their pattern is address and phone number:  P.O. Box 191 Yacolt, WA 98675 (360) 686 3133.

However, after online research, nothing turned up, only someone else on another forum searching for the same company:  https://forum.scrollsawer.com/forum/scroll-saw/general-scroll-saw/1115-searching-for-heartland-creations
It doesn't look too promising, sorry.

I was thinking since I bought this pattern about 16-17 years ago, it was in my early years of scrolling and at that time I was purchasing a lot of patterns from Wildwood Design, Scroller and Wooden Teddy Bear.  Perhaps searching any of the pattern catalogues might turn up something for you...?

Best wishes.
CP

Very nice, indeed.

I bought this pattern early in my scrolling adventures and am still challenged by the 5 foot length.  Any tips or recommendations?

Hurray for foot wiggle!    :)
Sounds like your dear Glenda is making some progress.  Hopefully much more to come and you can bail from Phoenix before hot weather settles in.  Continued prayers for her healing and your victory over paperwork.

So sorry to hear of this challenge to you and your family. AZ has some decent care facilities in the Phoenix area if that's where you are and hopefully, things will be turning for the better soon.  It's hard to be patient when your loved ones are hurting and I'm sure you are anxious to get back to your AK home and more normal routines.  Prayers for you and yours from here in central AZ that your Mrs. will soon be on the mend.

Yes, it's been slow, but I check in daily.  I've had issues posting pictures, too.  It's been a long time since I got a couple on here.  Once our 2 feet of snow melt away and it gets a little warmer, I will be out in the shop amid the sawdust again.  Lots of Steve's projects to make.   :)

You're in trouble now, Mark  ;)

Congrats on the start of a wonderful new hobby that will keep you hooked with every new cut.  Lots of kind souls here who can help and advise if needed.  And if all else fails, just think of all the wonderful kindling you have for your fireplace!

That's cute, Judy, I bet the kids are delighted to have a personalized ornament.  How many do you end up making for the year?

Thanks, Dennis.  I did that earlier on-I think I've sanded everything by now, though maybe not enough.  I have a new part on the way, we'll see if that helps.

Good to know, eburk.  Thank you.  I will call Hawk on Monday.  Much appreciated.

Thanks, Gentlemen.

Have done both suggestions previously.  Something must be worn out, or I am totally missing something.  I seem to be inconsistent with getting the blade gripped in the exact right place, as every now and then I will have a successful hold and be able to saw.  I will check with Hawk and see if a new holding screw is in order.

I don't know if this would apply to other brands of scroll saws, but I'm having a terrible time keeping blades from coming loose from the top clamp when I saw.  Just went through about 10 blades just trying to cut one piece due to bending or breaking.   >:(

I have a 220 vs model which I've had for 15 years, and it just seems like lately, I can't keep the blade in the top clamp from coming loose.   I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but can't quite figure out what.  It seems like about 1 out of 10 tries it stays put and cuts fine, but otherwise, I'm reinserting the blade again.  And again (my fingers are getting sore).  Sigh.

If anyone else has had this issue and has suggestions for a solution, feel free to pass them on-thanks.
