Title: Returning Scroller
Post by: Hawk on July 26, 2015, 05:28:39 pm
Hello to all. My name is Chris,  been scrolling for many years and due to a divorce 4 years back had to put scrolling on the back burner, had to sell my Delta P-20, sad,sad day that was.
My daughter is headed off to college in august and being a dinosaur fan wanted me to make a dino clock. I did and "BAM" I'm hooked again.
Attached is the clock we made.

Well done Chris and welcome to the forum.

Since you sold your Delta - what did you get to cut this on?

Hi Chris, and welcome to the forum.  Glad you're back to the saw, and I'm sure your daughter will treasure her clock.

Karl,
I rescued a delta from a barn about a year ago. It has a 16" throat and not much for thickness. Got it for $75 and spent a few days cleaning it. Does allright but it's not the P-20.
My question is, is does Delta have anything to replace the P 20? Been looking at the Dewalt 788 real hard.

Chris,

I used a couple of different saws over the years, but when I saw a DeWalt come up on Craigslist for 200+ dollars - I snapped it up!  I'm glad I did.  I keep looking for another for backup, but no great deal yet!

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum.  I'm Julie from Texas.  Glad you are back at it.  There is virtually no difference between the Dewalt and the Delta now a days except price and color.  Good job on the clock.
