Two Elderly Couples
« on: December 06, 2012, 12:25:14 pm »
Two elderly couples were riding in a car one day, the men in front,
the women in the back.  One man asked the other, "Have you been to
any great restaurants lately?"

"Oh, yes", the other man replied.
"Just last night we had a great meal at, uh..., uh..., well, my
memory isn't as sharp as it used to be.  What's the name of that
long stemmed flower with thorns on it?"

"A rose?", the first man offered.

"Yea, that's it."  Looking over his shoulder, he asked
his wife, "Say Rose, what's the name of that restaurant..."

:D :D :D :D :D :D  That sounds just like me.  A few years ago we went out to dinner with the school council and the new Principal came over and asked to be introduced to my husband, I looked at the Principle and said "Trevor this is .........."  I could not remember my husbands name he had to say it.  Then he asked if he should wear a name badge in future, to which I replied "Yes please it may come in useful"  I brought the house down, so I took a bow

I call my wife Goodoldwhatshername.
She has a rather unusal name and the family has always teased me about my poor memory so, I go along with it. When I talk to her ,I might call her Ethyl, Margret, Betty or any name that comes to mind. It's a family joke and everyone is used to it by now, we've been married for 43 years!  ;D

The lady next to us  ( she is a seasonal resident)  if from Pureto Rico and her name is very unsual and for us difficult to pronounce so we call here MamaCita.  She said that is fine with her because it is a term of endearment and it is fine with us because we can remember it!
