Excalibur Blower Problem
« on: September 18, 2012, 01:22:08 am »
I've had my EX-21 less than two years, and now the blower isn't functioning.  I heard a dull "pop" while sawing, and that was it. I called Ray, who felt it could be a blocked hose or a ruptured bellows, so I took the bottom plate off under the bellows and inspected the rubber bellows and the blower tube.  Can't find anything wrong and the bellows does pump up and down. If there is a tear in the bellows I couldn't see it with my inspection mirror.

I bought and installed a 100 gal aquarium pump and fastened the tube right alongside the segmented original tube.  It works fine, but I'd still like to get the original blower going.  Have any of you had a similar problem or have any suggestions?

The bellows are easy enough to remove, you can't always see a split when using a mirror, the pop you heard does sound like it might still be the bellows.
It's all a case of "Mind over Matter",  The Government don't Mind, and I don't Matter.
