And a "hI" back to you Harold.  I remember you well, including the period when you were unemployed and anxious about finding work..  Glad to hear you've passed that stage and things are looking up for you.  I haven't been doing scroll sawing because of a medical condition, but do read the posts often.  Hope to get back to the sawdust soon, as I do miss that.

Take care,

John

Well, I'm one of the guilty ones. I check in and read the posts daily, but seldom post anything.  I haven't been able to scroll for the past few months because of my diabetes and ulcers on  the bottom of my foot. Doc said to stay off the feet for a couple months...sure have missed making sawdust though!  Wife decided she was going to clean and reorganize my garage (shop) and that's scary to me.  Worry I won't be able to find anything when I do get back out there..lol.

Congratulations to both of you, Judy.  Granddaughters are a blessing and their achievements something to be proud of.

Instead of John, I call my bathroom Jim.  It justs sounds better when I tell my friends that I went to the Jim first thing in the morning!

Hi Nancy.  Good to have you join us and to hear about all that you do.  I'm John, your southern neighbor in Bellevue, WA.  I'm not the craftsman that many on the forum seem to be, but I do enjoy scrolling and gifting the various things I make.  Great hobby.

Enjoy your retirement, Mike.  You've earned it.  You will be missed by many here who have come to depend on you for recommendations and great service.  Thank you for that!!

Great to see you back, GrayBeard!  I haven't been able to use my saws for the past 4 months.  I'm diabetic and have severe neuropathy in my legs and feet, meaning very little feeling there.  This means I don't have balance and am prone to fall.  Done that 4 times already.  If I don't get that under control I'll have to sell my EX21 and my G4.  Got 11 grands and none of them interested in scrolling or woodworking.  Makes me wonder where they got THEIR genes!

Glad you like and enjoy your new "toy".  The Hawks are great saws and I'm sure you'll be pleased with it for years.

No apology needed for your absence, Dustin.  If anything, you are to be commended for standing by your brother in his time of need.  I'll be keeping you both in my prayers.

I originally had "big yellow", but sold it when I acquired a Hawk 220.  I know there are a number of folks who love the yellow, and it is a good machine, but I felt the Hawk was better, and I've never regretted it.  It's certainly better than the Ryobi.

Mike, I should have used you to translate my grandfather's letters.  All in Swedish between him and my great grand back in Sweden.  Paid money to a lady here for that and while it cost a bit, it was worth every penny to have some insight on their lives back in the beginning of the 1900's.  My cousin was going to throw them away because he couldn't read them!
