Hello From Phoenix
« on: June 09, 2012, 06:37:50 pm »
I just want to introduce myself. I am a new scroll saw enthusiast. Most my life I have done very little in the area of wood work. I am not known as a "Mr Fix-it" by any means. So, this past Christmas when I told my wife I wanted a scroll saw she almost fainted. Well she loves to spoil me and got me that saw. So here I am, a 43 year old kid playing with his new toy. I am still new at making this saw work and creating things worth keeping. (I have a pile of scraps from broken projects. I just use them to keep practicing). This blog is a fantastic site full of great info. I love this site and know I would be a lot farther behind in my learning without it. Thanks to all who make this site work and worthwhile.

Here's a "hey" from Rim Country to both AZ'ers.  Happy to say, it's a little cooler in Payson for some scrolling.  Welcome aboard and keep that sawdust coming.

Hi, and welcome to our group.  I'm Jim from London, Ontario.  You'll find there's lots of help available, just don't be afraid to ask.
And remember, the more you practice, the better you'll be at scrollsawing.

My shop is perfectly air conditioned...I work outside in a shaded spot. When the wind blows I have perfect AC...of course it is much nicer when it isnt 108 out.

What part of Texas you in Julie, we had a Royse City address for a couple years till the grand babies moved out. Then we picked where we wanted to go, Arizona. Loved every minute since, no tornados.
Have a great day.
