Title: An early Valentine's Day present
Post by: lwilli on January 11, 2015, 06:19:42 pm
My wife has been after me for quite sometime to make this Intarsia. She said that if I didn't complete it by Valentine's Day she was going to replace me with a Blue-Jay that she has had her eye on. I hope this gets me out of trouble!!

I think you're safe, but to be sure you should probably include something with diamonds.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments. My wife said I was off the hook at least until her birthday...it's funny how that works!

Fantastic. What wood did you use? Also about how big is this project? Looks great, nice cutting.

Troy, thanks for asking! On this project I used Yellow Heart, Red Heart, Wenge, Cherry and Aspen (which I coated using "Old Masters" white gel stain). The overall size measures 12" x 12".
