General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Need Help to select a new planer

I have a 735 and I love it. I haven't seen the attachment in Gabby's link before, I might get me one. I plan to get a dust collector when I can afford it, but for now I just connected a piece of flexible dryer duct to it and I stick it out the door when I use it. Works pretty good. The built in exhaust fan is to assist the dust collector if you have one.

I think they should suspend him the rest of the season and a fine. The speeds at texas speedway are way too fast to be doing that. I was just beginning to think Kyle had changed because he has had a good attitude all year, but the old Kyle came back last night.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Spiral Blades
« on: November 01, 2011, 08:50:57 pm »
I love using spiral blades, once I got the hang of them. I haven't ever had a problem clamping them because I take a regular pair of pliers and a pair of needle nose pliers and untwist about 3/4" or so on each end. I have to use my magnifier to see what I'm doing, but it's pretty easy after you do it a few times. I use FD 2/0 and FD #1 Flat end blades and I hardly ever break one. I have a Dewalt and I run the speed on 4 to 5 and just take it easy and let the blade do the work. Hope this helps.

I do it just like Gabby does, especially on spiral blades. Just run your finger down the blade lightly and you can feel which way the teeth are pointing.

I love that Marg. I have that same pattern I intend to cut one of these days, but I guarantee it will take me longer than 11.5 hours to cut. Great job.

So sorry to hear that GB. At least you gave her a good life while she was here. She was a cutie.

I searched around on the internet for the pattern, but didn't have any luck. i did find out that there are 4 horses in it. I can find 3 but the 4th one is kinda hard to see. Some say it's in the upper left and some say it's on the right side. See if you can find them.
