I'm so happy about this new logo, just had to share it.
The banner on my website is a little different as it is longer and we added a Grizzly to it.

Kim from another forum helped me do this.  I came up with and Idea and she completed it for me!  Thank You Kim!

Here is the cross Roger shared the pattern too.  I made two of them out of 1/2" Mahogany.  I then dipped in Lemon Oil.  I think they turned out rather well.  Thank you for sharing the pattern.

I'm in need of a cross & dove pattern.  Nothing real elaborate, she said nice but not over the top.  What ever that means?  LOL

I found several on steves site.  Thanks Steve.  They were not want she wants either.

You mentioned, I believe it was you, that you use fonts from dafont without downloading them to your computer.  How do you do that?

Here is the welcome sign. Made it from western red cedar, dipped in tung oil as customer wants it to turn Grey. It is about 9"s square. Will be living in customers back yard next to her Koi pond in Tennessee.

Thank you Sue for the great pattern.

BTW the fuzzies are gone...I did not notice them until I took the photo...Hmmm

Pattern Requests. / Comical frog on lily pad

I'm in need of a pattern that says "Welcome to our pad" with a frog on a lily pad. Approx 8 x 10 portrait style.

Or it can be a small frog on a lily pad I can incorporate into a regular word art sign.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Washed effect with acrylics....

I have a couple of puzzles done that I want to paint with acrylics.

However, I want to do a wash effect.

How thin do I dilute the acrylic paints with water?
Do you wipe it on with a paper towel or rag?
What kind of container do you use for thinning?

I'll be using several different colors on one project so I need something economical for mixing.

Can you save the left overs?

How do you get the pattern maker to create/save more than 1 name on a page?  It is such a waste of paper to print out each pattern separately.


Is there a way to figure out how large a particular pattern will be before you print it out.

Perhaps A table that says 105 will create 1 1/4 inches tall X 1 1/4 inch wide letters & a setting of 140 will create letters  2" x 1 1/2" etc.


I know, several questions but you are the guy that has all the answers...<wink>

I was minding my own business.  Sitting in my skivvies as I had gotten up at 7:00 and was going to boot my computer while I shave and shower etc.

I had forgotten to shut it down & I left it on last night so I sat down    --Hey.... no one can see me.

I happened onto a you tube video from a link posted in a message and started browsing---You know scrolling and workshops it's always kewl to see how others do things etc.

This thing came up and I just had to see.  Do not ask me why I have no clue.

Anyway for you faint at heart purists...do not click on this link it is rather graphic/risque.

This is not age appropriate either....Just a heads up.

Am I the only one that is seeing that the old log in area is no longer showing up.  I just see about 1/2" of the old log in spot at the top right of the page.
