I really butchered this one when I tried. Could I get a pattern please?
I just really need the 2 on the left (the older folks) not the young kids.
The gentleman passed away and I want to give a portrait to his wife. Thanks a bunch!

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / fretwork annoyance!
« on: February 14, 2015, 05:48:30 pm »
Fuzzies!! What is the best technique to remove them? I really don't like trying to get rid of the fuzzies on extensive fretwork, seems to take twice as long to remove than to cut.

I've sanded and added tape. Anything better? Torch, chemical, fuzzy eating bugs? lol IDK

The Coffee Shop / hypothetical but could be possibility
« on: February 13, 2015, 08:05:26 pm »
Company I work for is venturing into making things out of wood. I've been heading up our simple projects but with other factors taking place, our company is looking for a larger building.
I've asked if they could incorporate a larger workshop. So with this possibility, I started running scenarios in my head. This isn't happening for sure, its all speculation, but wonder what you would do if you were approached.

Company comes to you and says they are giving you a bigger workshop and $10k to furnish it with tools.  What do you get and what brand? go! :)

good stories guys. I guess if they think it is worth 80 they buy but if you price low then they don't see a value? not me. no way i could afford buying a scroll portrait for more than 30. lol if that

Can discuss if want but i just don't get it. I see prices for pieces that are similar and one guy charges $25 and another charges $60 and they both sell.

Great looking pattern. I've been doing a lot of portraits to. Mine are all 8x10 framed. You might want to try and put a piece of black felt behind that instead of the walnut and see how that looks for you and then in a frame. Just a thought.

Thanks rdatelle, I usually do put black felt behind it. just didn't have any with me at time of picture. Only had walnut avail. :)
