"Believe" pattern
« on: July 18, 2010, 08:04:38 pm »
I made this in Paint to make as Christmas ornaments and thought I'd share.  I'm thinking I'll use an eye screw to hang a ribbon from it unless someone has a better idea.  Any?

Also, anyone have good ideas for different words?

Hey Janet, I would just use the hole in the B to run the ribbon through or drill a small hole in the B.

I thought about putting a bump in the top of the B for a hole.  Might be easier.  Less supplies.   ;)

I drill small holes to start the eye screws in the Arrow Head ornaments I do.  It does not have to be very big or deep, just enough to get you started.

Faith, Charity, Hope, Joy, Love  How is that for a start?  Thanks for sharing the first one in the series.

It's one way to use up the little hunks of scrap wood.

You could make one that says "Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward men" and then you'd only need one ornament for the whole tree!   ;)

While just teasing about that, I actually got an idea.  This might be too much if you are planning to make them as gifts but, for your own tree, what about making a separate ornament for each word of the first line of your favorite carol?  It would almost be a game for your family and friends to figure out what's going on.
