I made this in Paint to make as Christmas ornaments and thought I'd share. I'm thinking I'll use an eye screw to hang a ribbon from it unless someone has a better idea. Any?
Also, anyone have good ideas for different words?

Hey Janet, I would just use the hole in the B to run the ribbon through or drill a small hole in the B.
-
I thought about putting a bump in the top of the B for a hole. Might be easier. Less supplies. ;)

That's why I suggested the holes!

Thanks dgman. :)

Your welcome Janet!

I drill small holes to start the eye screws in the Arrow Head ornaments I do. It does not have to be very big or deep, just enough to get you started.

Faith, Charity, Hope, Joy, Love How is that for a start? Thanks for sharing the first one in the series.

There ya go Janet, those are the most popular words out there right now. Go for it!!

What a great idea Janet! very nice!!

It's one way to use up the little hunks of scrap wood.

Don't forget peace

and "Serenity". Anyone who has been or is in a 12 Step program will like that one. AA, Alanon, etc.
-
You could make one that says "Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward men" and then you'd only need one ornament for the whole tree! ;)
While just teasing about that, I actually got an idea. This might be too much if you are planning to make them as gifts but, for your own tree, what about making a separate ornament for each word of the first line of your favorite carol? It would almost be a game for your family and friends to figure out what's going on.

Thanks for sharing. I like the look of it.

Good idea, been in AA for five years now (no slips!), about time I gave something back :)

Janet, how thick of wood are you using?
-
Thank you Janet I will be making several Serenity ones for members of our local AA to help them in their battle.

Thanks for the Serenity pattern, Janet. I'll be making some for my group as well.
Malc, congrats on your five years! That's great. I'm sort of on the opposite team, Alanon, with 16 years and going strong. Lots of AA friends and I tell them we're on the same team, just one is the offense, the other the defense.

My son is VERY active in the program so i will make some also for him to give to the groups that he visits as guest speaker.
Thanks for the great idea and the PATTERN Janet!!!

You are welcome :)
Cherie - I usually use 1/2 - 3/4". But I don't think it would matter. Just whatever you got leftover.
