wondering if the Delta saw neds any oiling? have only had for 3 months and all of sudden light clanging on the strokes have checked all tightening nothing found any thoughts

I do not know of any oiling points on the 694. I have read several posts where the 694 did not have enough grease in the bearings when sent from factory. Re-greasing fixed most of the complaints.

There are some ideas on dealing with noise, and other problems that could come up. It isn't that difficult to strip down the saw and to grease it as needed.
Remember that the 40-694 is essentially a repainted Dewalt 788.
