Pattern Requests. / Feather Earrings

Hi All.  I have been asked by a friend if I could make her a pair of earrings in the shape of a feather.  Anyone have anything that would resemble a feather and would like to share with me?

General Scroll Saw Talk / 1/8" wood

I'm considering making some Christmas ornament earings that Steve posting on his blog a while back.  The wood used was 1/8" thick.  In general what do you guys and gals do to get the 1/8" thickness.  Buy it somewhere or band saw?

I'm looking for a pattern of atlas, but instead of holding the world he would be holding a clock.  Anyone ever see something like this?

Introduce Yourself. / Hello from Rochester New York

Just want to take this opportunity to say Hi to all you guys and gals.  As the subject line implies I live in Rochester, New York and I haven't done a whole lot of scroll work.  What I have done are some key chains, plaques, and other small stuff.  My normal medium is flat work where I just finished 2 walnut desks and a curly maple bed.  My goal is to take a break from that work and get into more scrolling.
