I've been using ''Deco Color Liquid Gold'  extra find, opaque paint marker.  Works on finished and unfinished projects.  Shows up good on wood.  Looks great. Purchased at AC Moore.

The Coffee Shop / Ray at Seyco a GOOD Man
« on: February 06, 2012, 09:23:51 pm »
I've read on this forum how Ray has helped fellow scrollers.  I now have personal experience.  I sent Ray an email about a problem with  my Ex 16. Although I purchased it  from a different company, Ray suggested I call him.  I called him and within a very short time he diagnosed and we fixed the issue.  Just wanted to acknoledge a good man.  -Moonie

Pattern Requests. / Pattern Request
« on: January 06, 2012, 10:17:15 pm »
A friend will soon have 30 years without a drink.   I need ... I don't know what ... a pattern celebrating 30 years in recovery.   The anniversary plate in Steve's pattern book is nice, but its too romantic, if you know what I mean.   Thanks, Moonie

Thanks, Russ, I read the story, very interesting.  So I wonder when the DeWalt will be discontinued.  And, by the way, what's the difference between the Type 1 and the Type 1L?  www.ereplacementparts.com  has parts for both.  I have a Type 1.  Up to now I thought there were only Type 1 and Type 2.

Ok, I'm confused.   Is the DeWalt 788 discontinued . .   or the Delta?  Does anyone know when this happened?  I recently sent a letter to the York, PA DeWalt service center concerning my DeWalt 788 and received no reply.  a thousand thank u's

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / BACKERS ON PLACQUES/PORTRAITS
« on: June 01, 2011, 10:07:15 pm »
I understand it's standard to use a backer on placques, etc.  Some use 1/4 inch BB and some use 1/8 inch.  In my opinion, I prefer to use black, or any color, poster board or heavy craft paper.  I've had great comments. Anyway, 1/8th inch always seem to warp. What are the advantages of using BB as compared to my alternative?
Thanks, Moonie

Ask Steve a question. / How to adjust blade motion on DeWalt 788
« on: April 29, 2011, 10:33:08 pm »
While cutting on the DeWalt 788, the work wants to jump up and down.  I saw your vedio on the Excaliber and you talked about how to make an adjustment to correct front/back motion.  My Excalber 16 is fine but  I think that front/back motion should be adjusted my the DeWalt.    Where do I find instructions on how to make adjustment on the Dewalt 788?   Also, how do I tell if I have a Type One  or  a Type Two?   Thank you. Bob Moon
