Here is a pic of my first cuts. Practice & patience.... Wandered quite a bit. Blade is unknown. Will try with Olson blades next. FD blades already ordered. Good news is that the puzzle cuts slip together from both directions.

2nd cut with a different blade. I'm cutting 3/4 pine, and used an Olson#5r, 12.5 tpi 9 rev pinless. Tighter turns and did a little better following the lines. :o

Oops. Wrong pic. :P

Hi, Uncle Scott,
Nice to see you on the forum and experimenting.
I cut 3/4" stock with a #5 blade.
Since you are new, you may want to try some spiral blades to
get used to them also.
I wish I had tried spirals before I got used to using the edge of
a flat blade to keep on the line. Now if I use a spiral I have to
really concentrate so as not to try to use the back of the blade to
make turns or use the side of the blade. Can't do that without cutting into the stock
with a spiral.
Just a suggestion. I can cut almost any pattern with a flat blade but, some people
really like the added convenience of the spiral blades and the wider kerf for veining.
God Bless! Spirithorse

The FD blades came in the mail last night!! ;D I got the starter pack, which included some spiral cut blades. I will try those tonight.
