Ask Steve a question. / New Font ?
« on: June 12, 2010, 10:43:06 am »
I have been useing your videos as lessons to learn Coral Draw.  I would like to find a font that works in the name circles that is a little more "girlie" than the cooper black.  Any suggestions?  I have experimented a lot but they distort badly when they turn into an oval or circle?

Ask Steve a question. / Using Polymer Clay
« on: May 13, 2010, 09:38:04 am »
Unless you are using an oven dedicated to clay, the item you are baking should be incased. The fumes from the clay can build up on the walls of the oven and not be so good on your wife's cherry pie.
To incase an item just buy the cheap tinfoil baking pans, set your piece in one, turn the other upside down on top, then clamp the two together with metal clips.

Ask Steve a question. / creating patterns
« on: May 07, 2010, 10:48:30 am »
I am/was an artist and lost most of the use of my right hand from stroke. So my question is:
Is there a video, tutorial or class out there that will teach how to create my own scroll saw patterns on the computer?  I use Paint Shop Pro 12.  Thanks for being there :D

Ask Steve a question. / Am I in trouble?
« on: April 23, 2010, 11:44:18 pm »
I take patterns from books and change them.  This is an example of the pattern as it was in the book and my finished piece.  I do this with many patterns.  Is this wrong? can I take credit for the design?

I'm from North Dakota. I just started scroll sawing.  I have made a living being an artist.  Two years ago I lost most of the use of my right hand.  I found scroll sawing.  It has saved my sanity ;D.
