I have cut both 1/8" and 1/4" this week. I am going to go back and recut the 1/4'" in 1/8" because the 1/4" inch looks to heavy and bulky.

Ray, I think you just hit on the answer "The other scroll saw site I mainly hang out at is very busy all the time."

People are spending more time on other scroll saw sites. I still prefer this one over the others, and I visit at least 2x a day. The other forum I go to once a day at most.

Coffeepot, I also have a Hawk, and was having the same problem, replaced the blade holding screw and it fixed me right up. I also replaced my lower blade holder with their upgraded unit, made me a happy camper.

Dennis, if you find a solution for the Hawk let us know. My fingers do not get numb, but my arthritis in my thumb and wrist goes crazy if I have lots of interior cuts on a project. I am sure it is also due to the constant tightening and untightening of the blade.

I use a heat gun to shrink wrap my puzzles, or other items I give as presents or put on consignment with a local gift store.
