New to Forum
« on: July 14, 2012, 03:56:27 am »
Hi my names Mike and want to introduce myself to the forum. I have been scrolling for a few years but never really made anything to amount to anything I think due to the fact that the scroll saw I have been using is ok for some things but not for serious scrolling. I hope to change this now as I am now the proud owner of a new Dewalt DW788 20inch scroll saw I received friday the 13th. LOL for some this is not a good day for things but for me a very lucky day.At any rate its like going from driving a VW Bug and trading it in for a New Cadillac. The preformance is fantastic. Accurate cuts stable and really fast. I cannot believe how easy it is to cut curves and complex cuts and is so fast I thought I would have lots of mistakes but turned out perfect on my testing different cuts. Anyway I hope to be able to contribute ideas and other things to the forum in time and really love Steves site here. Some of the first things will be saved pdf files of things that Steve has posted on here in the past that I have saved. Enough of me and hello to all the other Scrollers here.

Hello to all that have replied, I'm glad I found this forum and look forward to meeting you all in time. i just went out and bought $60 worth of baltic birch to get me started and thought I'd attempt my first project. I purchased plans for a skeleton clock from clayton boyer and hope to have within the next month a finished and running clock. Its been a passion to do one of these for over a year and finally going to start. Soon as i can get it done will post some pictures of it, maybe in progress. Again thanks for all the welcome messages..
