Pattern Requests. / Pattern of dog from photo?
« on: November 18, 2016, 04:34:33 pm »
Hi all, could anyone possibly make a pattern from this photo of my sister's dog, please? She had to have the dog put to sleep earlier this year and I would like to make her a reminder.
Full size photo at http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll198/haydut1200/Nomad_zpskrzh0ekt.jpg  Background and collar can be removed.

I only heard of this model yesterday, and this was my first pattern made from a photo, so treat me gently. :) The detail of the front wheel is a bit sparse as I couldn't get it to look right, but I'm happy enough otherwise for a first.

I know no one requested this but I spotted it on a Russian site I use and made a pattern for it. I hope it's not from a book or mag from our side of the new wall.  :D

Can anyone make a pattern from this please? It's my bike and I had the intention of making the pattern myself but I can't get my head round the bridges and islands needed on something like this. Looks like I'm not going to advance beyond simple patterns, so I am grateful to you guys that have the ability.

No need for the mirrors or the black bars around the engine as they are no longer on the bike.

A friend on a UK forum sent me a nice piece of wood although I have no idea what it is. The pic I found on Google images and altered to make it cuttable.

Ideal for the kids to keep their coloured pencils, or colored ones if you aren't in the UK.  ;D

Requested by my sister for a friend's 60something birthday. Two friends in fact, so I stack cut two of them. Thanks to Daveo for the pattern. Also thanks to Malistar22 and Dennis by way of Grandpa for two more patterns that I will be cutting later.
(Should that be Grandpa by way of Dennis?)

Pattern Requests. / pattern wanted for Lambretta scooter
« on: January 27, 2014, 10:24:41 am »
I just had a request from my sister for a Lambretta scooter. I've been having a go at a pattern this morning but as usual my impatience got the better of me.  ;D Could anyone oblige, please?
I think it only needs to be recognisable as a Lambretta from the 60's, so here's a link to a good photo to show what I am looking for.
I wonder if it would work as well as a stand alone rather than as a portrait? Although either would do.

Thanks,
Martin.

Not done much on the scroll saw lately so I cut this earlier this week to keep my hand in. I think this is one of those that everyone cuts as it's easy to cut and looks good too, IMO. External ply with outer veneers that are that thin I daren't sand it! Blathered it with mahogany stain and it's had another coat since this photo as it was very spotty close up.

I cut this for the brother in law's birthday. Apparently he has one of these to launch his fishing boat. I've never seen it so I hope I picked the right model.  ;D
Many thanks to Travis for the pattern. This one was going to be a dummy run so I used some cheaper ply, but I am pleased with how it came out.

I'm hoping this is the same as my brother-in-law's 'Power Major' as I've never actually seen it.
I've tried numerous times this week to make a pattern from this but I always end up with it far too complicated and uncuttable. I can't for the life of me make a simpler one that looks OK.

I made it simply because it looked an interesting project. You can't tell but the base doesn't fit properly. I think it is because the template prints out too small, but some sanding of the uprights will hopefully make it fit better.
