However I decide to finish a project, whether it is tung oil, blo, shellac or rattle can lacquers.  I always let it cure for a couple of days and then I use a product called.
"Liquid Gold"  it is like a furniture polish.  Boy oh Boy makes em smooth as a babies backside.

There are a myriad of blade sellers online.  I too prefer Mikes blades but I also use some Pegas blades for certain applications.  personal preference only but have not had good luck with Olsen blades.

I would not permanently affix the stand to the floor.  This is the company saving their backsides from law suits.  Use a stable surface and locking wheels if you place wheels on your stand.
