The missing Krylon Triple thick spray on? I have used Krylon triple thick crystal clear glaze for about 10 years, but recently I have been unable to find in any of the usual stores, Michaels, JoAnn's, etc. I called Krylon and they say they are still making it. Have any of you who use triple thick noticed this product to be hard to find? Where have you been able buy it? Is there an easy spray on substitute?

Peter, tell us more about this paint. Is it gloss or what, and how fast does it dry? Is it the kind that runs a lot, like some sprays?

I saw a recall notice at Walmart a month ago for that stuff. The recall had something to do with the nozzle getting stuck open. I guess all the stores removed the product from the shelves and Krylon hasn't replaced id yet.

Ok. Here's a like to the recall. It has to do with a fire hazard.

I have never been a fan of Krylon. I use/like Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel. Can states "Recoat anytime," but I wait 10 minutes.
Keep it out of the house a day, because it has a glue smell that makes you think you could get High on it.
WAIT A MINUTE. THAT'S A THOUGHT!!!! :D :D

Expensive stuff.

Cursor down on the link and it was also listed for $7.42. Still high but a lot better.
-
Walmart sold it for about $7. I used it on jigsaw puzzles. Two coats protects the picture and you can recoat within minutes.

The Walmart by my house has it for $3.67 for a 12 oz. can.

Gentlemen, thank you for all the information! None of the retailers I had been buying it from were able to give me any idea as to why they stopped; recall, now I understand. In 10 years have never had a problem. Will stop by my local Walmart and see if they have some. Since Krylon is now selling it again, I assume they have corrected the issue causing the recall. Will try Jerry's suggestion of using Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear.
Again thanks guys!
