Computer questions / Norton removes Keychain maker as virus
« on: September 06, 2016, 12:53:09 am »
i tried downloading Steve's Scrollsaw Keychain Maker (setupKeychain.exe) and my Norton anti-virus deletes it as unsafe.

i downloaded the Scrollsaw Pattern Maker and it was fine so not sure why Norton detected the other program as a virus?
is it possible the installer some how picked up a virus before being downloaded?

has anyone else run into this?

General Scroll Saw Talk / M&M Blade Holders
« on: May 17, 2012, 08:29:58 am »
i just got the email this morning that Steve posted about Jim Leasors m&m tube blade holders.

i like the colors and the tubes are cool and the carousel holder is sweet but even tho the tubes
come with candy they sure would add up after getting several. their is almost forty bucks in tubes
and the bad part is the lid hinge wont last real long as the plastic 'fold' will eventually break and
will no longer be attached to the tube so you will just have to pop it off and put it back on.

the good thing about them is of course the candy you will get (maybe sell it to offset the price of
the tubes?) and the colors are way cool looking but the best part is the size, they would have to
hold at least a hundred blades or more in each one?

it will definitely be interesting to see how many people get them and build the carousel and i hope
you all post back here and show off your tubes!

Ask Steve a question. / steve, need help with a couple items on your bench.
« on: December 01, 2011, 02:47:25 pm »
i was watching one of your videos and i wanted to ask about a couple items you have
near your saw, one was a little yellow motor with a sanding drum on the right side and
a sanding mop on the left. it looked like a nice little compact unit and i was curious who
makes it or where to get it?

the other item was a calculator looking thing on your light that must be used for a time
clock for how much time you have on a project i would guess? where did you get that and
what exactly is it called?

thanks for any help you can give!
