This is a pattern by Kathy Lindsey that was done for a coworker. My coworker is a big gorilla fan and I can tell you there are not many gorilla patterns out there. This was made form some Alder wood I had left for a door I am making. The alder stained the best on several samples I tried to get the right look before I even started. I added the mesquite base myself and improvised on the leaves to. Leaves are made of Purple heart, Padauk, and something else I can?t remember. This was a really fun project to do and learn from.
