Title: "cut and paste method" or "Trace method"?
Post by: Dawie on March 05, 2011, 07:47:13 am
Hi all you Intarsia people. I have just been surfing the net and came across some great patterns, as this is the year I have set myself to make my first ever intarsia piece.
Now I read about two methods the "cut and paste method" and the "trace method" as far as I could see from the patterns the first comes with the pieces all drawn seperately and the second as a whole.

What would you suggested for a novice like myself, I seem partial to the cut and paste option but am not sure if this is the way to go.

Your ideas/suggestions please.

David

Is it a trade secret? I've been amazed with much of the intarsia I've seen and may try my hand at it once I get control of that tiny little saw.
Why not share it with the group?
