thanks everyone, for the great comments--Intarsia is really a lot of fun and so gratifying .For those who have never tried it-give it a go--you'll love it--Richard aka thumbs

I think that looks pretty darn good, Thumbs!  I'm still working on amping up my courage to try one.  I hope my first comes out as well as yours!

That looks great for a first try. Hope my first try turns out as well when I  get started eventually.
