Thank you Russ for the video! I have been using a spray bottle, but, now am going to be using the jar and sponge brush!

Good video Russ.  I wish I saw this tip a week ago because I just bought 6 rolls of painters tape. O'well

I'm definitely going to try this.

Hey Russ,

Great video.  I do everything you do except for removal of the pattern.  Remember I am a woman and I think outside the box.  Instead of using mineral spirits I take the finished cutting and stick it in the microwave and nuke it at 10 seconds intervals and the pattern peals off.  9 times out of ten I can reuse my pattern, thus saving me more money.  I use the same spray glue as you or sometimes I will use glue stick and have had great success.

Hi Russ  Cut out your Heart pat. last night and took an even thriftier approach. I used no tape, no mineral sprites, and VERY little spray adhesive. I even let the adhesive dry to the point it almost wouldn't stick to my fingers.  After cutting, the pat. pulled right up.  PS, I have a friend who almost always finishes his cuttings with Watco Danish Oil.  He doesn't even attempt removing his patterns. He just dips his ornaments in a pan of the oil and it loosens his pattern at the same time. Might be a little impractical for larger pieces but your foam brush with Danish Oil might kill two birds at one time.
Assuming one wanted the danish Oil finish.

Finished cutting & backing your Heart design Russ. My wife is very chemically sensitive so the B/BB is au naturel. For a little color, I added the translucent red 1/16" plexie on the back.  I'm sure she'll like -you get the design credit - I'll keep any associated kisses.   ;) Brian

Mr. Russ, thanks for the video tip on removing patterns. I've tried everything from rags to spray bottles with paint thinner. Your way, by far, works the best!! Hands down!! Thanks again!!!
