KCSteve, thanks for looking; pleased to hear I am doing it correctly and not mis interpreting the plan.  Will just move the holes over just enough to clear the dowel.  Game playes well as presented, but I may need to work on my eye hand coordination.

When built, have you found the pivoting rod to block the first hole at the top?  Wondering if I am not building it correctly.  I could move the hole over 3/16"; jsut wondering if I am misinterpreting the drawings.

Plan on using it at our street 4th of July party for the kids or brave adult.

I figured it was protected, but was hoping that for personal use I might find one out there; oh well I tried.

My bad, asked for pattern in the intarsia section instead of here.  I am looking for a intarsia pattern of yoda.  Grandson's favorite character; trying to come-up with a Christmas decoration.

I like the idea in Steve's latest project of including a coin using a specifically sized Forstner bit.  Rather than buying the whole set, I would like to buy just the ones I want; does anyone have the bit size needed each of the coins?

Yep, have all four; are all worth it even if I only us a couple of the actual designs out of each one.  The latest , May, issue has a really informative article on how to use and how they work paint air brushes.

Tropdog, I have been scrollsawing for over 10 years, and although I have various power shop tools, I would say that the ones I use the most other than the scrollsaw are the drill press (for drilling and sanding), palm sander, disk/belt sander, and the Dewalt contractor table saw in that order.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: KRYLON - TRIPLE THICK

Gentlemen, thank you for all the information!  None of the retailers I had been buying it from were able to give me any idea as to why they stopped; recall, now I understand.  In 10 years have never had a problem.  Will stop by my local Walmart and see if they have some.  Since Krylon is now selling it again, I assume they have corrected the issue causing the recall.  Will try Jerry's suggestion of using Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear.

Again thanks guys!

General Scroll Saw Talk / KRYLON - TRIPLE THICK
« on: November 18, 2014, 12:14:52 pm »
The missing Krylon Triple thick spray on?  I have used Krylon triple thick crystal clear glaze for about 10 years, but recently I have been unable to find in any of the usual stores, Michaels, JoAnn's, etc.  I called Krylon and they say they are still making it.  Have any of you who use triple thick noticed this product to be hard to find?  Where have you been able buy it?  Is there an easy spray on substitute?

My Delta 350 bench model has given up the ghost and I am looking to replace it.  I am seriously considering the Jet 12" (a bench model) and have read the reviews, although have not actually tried it at the store yet.  Any warnings I should be aware of?  Any help would be appreciated!!
