Is there a program for this

I would like to be able to make name's, that lay flat and also stand up on a base of some sort.
Is there a way to do this easily? or maybe a special program to do it?

yes!

Steve has made a pretty smart program for this. Check it out - Information is listed in his blog @ http://www.scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/ on top of the blog entries.

One fine thing about this: Not only is there a program to help you create the pattern, but he uses regularly installed fonts on this. You can easily use them as well in other programs to create other patterns.

Steve asks to consider a $5 donation for the program

it's a great program.
I use it and copy past it to corel, adjust the base angle if necessary and weld the name to other parts of my patterns.
