Title: Kool-Aid Man
Post by: mrsn on September 17, 2010, 11:53:40 am
I was wondering if any of you have ever seen a Kool-Aid Man pattern. I kind of remember seeing one somewhere online, but now can't find it.
Thanks
MrsN

I will look around and see if I can find one. Do you want it as fretwork or a cut out?   8)

I would like a fretwork, but either would be fine. I remember seeing one someplace, but just can't put my finger on it now.

Hi mrsn, was just looking at a link somebody posted and guess who I found, the little kool-aid-man. It's meant for pumpkinart, but will do fine for the scroll saw, I rembered somebody asking about it a while back. Here's the link http://www.pumpkinglow.com/images/PDFpatterns/KoolAid.pdf

I went to the site, paid the Dollar and got the two packets of patterns and then a bonus email with another two packets.

Lot of EASY fun stuff for a "Buck"!

And he takes PayPal!

It looks like the patterns would make good scroll saw patterns, and a decent variety of things I haven't seen before.

Even though I would have the paticene to sit at a scroll saw and make them, I don't think I'll try carving them in a pumpkin this year.

I have not been able to download the animal patterns I paid for but did get the free hollywood patterns.
The first e-mail you recieve is the conformation of your e-mail address, you click on the link.
The second e-mail is the link to the free hollywood patterns. Read carefully because this has a username and password in it for the free patterns. I was able to use them and access the free patterns.
Third e-mail I recieved my username whitch is my e-mail and a password with the link to the animal patterns I paid for.
This one did not work.
Maybe it takes some time for paypal to respond with payment, not sure. I will e-mail Mr. Jay Ball.  >:(

I'm still at it, too.  I got the free ones also, but have not got the ones I paid for.  The username and password do not work.  I sent him an e-mail a little while ago - lets see if he responds.

I too had trouble but after emailing he replied quickly and everything worked OK and then I got an email offering the two extra sets.
He must be having a glitch in his server so keep after him.
He had to 'reset' my username and password but he did get the job done.
I hope he sends you all the links for the extras.

If not then email me and we will handle it off the group!
The extra include Disney 'villains and other cartoon characters. Some are pretty good.
They are very simple silhouettes so quick and easy to cut.
I'm sure they are all 'copyrighted' but if you keep your usage private you should be OK. I'm going to make some for my grandkids and friends for Halloween.

It took several hours for him to get back to me. Sit it out for a while and if he doesn't then email me off list....
He did respond, apologized and was nice about it.

Keep me posted. I still have the links.

I believe so too. He emailed me back at what I deemed 'after work' hours. Took most of the day for him to respond but he did respond.

You might let him know the potential of 1300 people seeing his 'link' and he might be 'generous' to the Group...

Remember, that these paterns are for pumpkin carving. The areas that you are removing would be the light areas on a pumpkin not the shaded areas on a scroll saw relief picture. Also on the advanced paterns the crosshatched areas are not cut through on the pumpkin they give a lighter shaded area. The Cool Aid pattern is just an outline so it will be OK cut as a scroll saw patern. If you cut the portrait patern as you normally do, you will end up with a negative. These are nice paterns, but you need to make some changes to cut them.
